President Iohannis, Belgium's King Philippe discuss geo-strategic developments at Royal Castle of Laeken

President Klaus Iohannis was welcomed on Wednesday by His Majesty King Philippe of the Belgians at Laeken Castle, with the talks approaching the "excellent" cooperation between the two countries, as well as the geo-strategic developments amid Russia's war against Ukraine and the Middle East crisis.

"Honored to meet again H.M. King Philippe of the Belgians and share views on the close friendship between our countries, Romania and Belgium, our excellent cooperation, as well as geo-strategic developments in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine and the Middle East crisis," Iohannis wrote in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

President Klaus Iohannis was on an official visit to the Kingdom of Belgium on Wednesday, having on the agenda talks and joint press statements with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, as well as a trip to the Belgian Nuclear Research Center SCKCEN.
