President Iohannis, EC Vice-President Jourova discuss Schengen accession, rule of law, justice reforms

President Klaus Iohannis met on Monday with European Commission Vice-President for Values and Transparency Vera Jourova, with whom he discussed the rule of law and justice reforms, Romania's Schengen accession, support for Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East.

"I had an excellent discussion today in Bucharest with the Vice-President of the European Commission, Vera Jourova, about the rule of law and justice reforms, Romania's accession to Schengen, support for Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East. I thanked Vice-President Jourova for her invaluable and constant support for Romania," said President Iohannis in a Presidential Administration Facebook post.

European Commission Vice-President for Values and Transparency Vera Jourova is on an official visit to Romania on Monday.
