President Iohannis had informal meeting with several European leaders, discussions about EU enlargement
President Klaus Iohannis took part, on Friday morning, in Brussels, together with several European leaders, in an informal meeting that focused on the methods of enlargement of the European Union.
According to official sources, the European leaders from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Portugal participated in the informal meeting, along with the head of state.
"The informal meeting aims to be the beginning of a strategic reflection on the best ways to enlarge the EU that the states participating in the meeting support, at the same time as identifying the best measures to ensure the functioning of an enlarged European Union," the quoted source mentions.
President Klaus Iohannis participated, on Thursday and Friday, in Brussels at the Summer European Council Meeting.
