President Iohannis participates in work dinner with Trump and other leaders present at NATO meeting in London
On Wednesday, President Klaus Iohannis participates in a work dinner next to US president Donald Trump and leaders from Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece, Bulgaria and Great Britain present at NATO Summit in London, according to official sources.
On Tuesday, he was present at receptions offered in honor of heads of state and government by Queen Elisabeth II at Buckingham Palace and by British premier Boris Johnson at 10 Downing street.
On this occasion he had a discussion with US counterpart Donald Trump on Tuesday. The Romanian president attended the reception together with his wife, Carmen Iohannis.
Queen Elizabeth II took an official photo with the heads of state and government participating in the reception, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, and Prince Charles.
On Wednesday, the Romanian head of state will participate in the NATO summit where a short public declaration with strategic character , covering the main progress and preoccupations at ally level will be adopted. Allied leaders will approve a package of documents on relevant topics for the role of NATO in the present international context.
The Romanian delegation includes defense minister Nicolae Ciuca and the defense head of staff Daniel Petrescu.
