PwC Romania: Two thirds of companies will apply fiscal facility for employees working from home

Two thirds of  respondents to a survey organized by PwC Romania among business representatives say they will apply the fiscal facility for employees working from home introduced in the Fiscal Code, the consulting company mentions.

 

Over half of respondents (56%) consider that recent amendments made to the Fiscal Code are meant to help companies and the facility to be applied by 67% of companies has in view benefits for employees working from home.

 

Only 8% of participants said amendments were not useful to them, while 38% are still analyzing them to see which of them can be applied. 67% of respondents say they can benefit from fiscal facilities for employees working from home, 17% from fiscal consolidation and 8% from the measure concerning the adjustment of VAT for debts not paid by natural persons,” according to the PwC Romania press release. 

According to the survey, the biggest challenges  from the fiscal point of view for 2021 are DAC6 report on cross border arrangements (39%), documents on services offered among companies of the same group (38%), improving cash flows (12%) and fiscal inspections (11%).

On the other hand, although the share of companies that can benefit from fiscal consolidation is more reduced than that of companies which can apply facilities for employees, when they were asked about the importance of changes, most respondents (50%) said the impact generated by the measure of fiscal consolidation on companies is higher than that of measures on benefits for employees. 30% of respondents said the impact of the measure on benefits for employees is bigger on companies than the impact generated by fiscal consolidation measure.

 

The survey was made as part of an online event organized by PwC Romania about recent changes in fiscal law, in which over 300 businessmen participated.
