The national financial contribution to the NATO project “Multinational Cyber Defence Capability Development 2- MN CD2” will be of 300,000 euros/year for the 2017-2020 period, dropping by almost half compared to 2013-2016.
The government approved in its latest meeting a national contribution of 300,000 euros annually to this project belonging to NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) valid for 2017-2020.
Romaniaá participation to the development of the project - through SRI and MApN - was approved by government decision 435/2013. At that moment the contribution level had been established at 500,000 euros annually and an initial participation tax of 20,000 euros.
The money comes from the budget approved for SRI.
Romania participates in the project through SRI, the national authority appointed by the law in the cyber-intelligence field, in cooperation with MApN and other public or private juridical persons with which it can conclude collaboration protocols for aspects of joint interest.
