Summer Music Academy Sinaia 2016: jmEvents brings elite teachers and artists from Europe
Summer Music Academy Sinaia, organized by jmEvents, is an international program of musical training at high standards. Every year elite artists and professors from prestigious European academies are invited to lead masterclasses for violin, viola, cello, flute and chamber music. Young artists who aim for performance or just want to attend international music courses can register until June 15, 2016. In 2016, the list of invited teachers includes famous names of European music schools from UK, Switzerland, Italy, France and Romania: celebrated international violinist Remus Azoitei, Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London, flute player Paul Edmund-Davies, Visiting Guest Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London and the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, former Principal Flute at the London Symphony Orchestra, Charles Sewart, Head of Strings at The Purcell School, London former member of the Chilingirian Quartet, international cellist performing worldwide Josephine Knight, Alfredo Piatti Chair and Professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London, Cristina Bellu, ESTA France president and Cello Professor at Scuola Universitaria di Musica in Lugano and Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne and the Principal Flutist of Santa Cecilia National Academy Orchestra, Rome, Andrea Oliva, Principal Professor at Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, Lugano.
Between July 14 and 26, 2016 young musicians aged between 10 and 30 years are invited to participate in Sinaia Academy. Individual masterclasses are supplemented by coaching, mentoring and career advice.
So far over 400 musicians from Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Cyprus, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Macedonia, United Kingdom, Netherlands, New Zealand Russia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, USA and Romania have followed the master-classes with notable results.
Academy of Sinaia runs within the EUROPAfest Summer Edition, event organized under the High Patronage of the Royal House. Master-classes are complemented by public concerts held in the Peles Castle, The Royal Domain, Casino Hall Sinaia, the Catholic Church, Memorial House "George Enescu", King's Valley Hall, Cultural Center "Carmen Sylva", all bearing the mark of royalty, passion and artistic dedication.
