Survey: 67% of the Romanians consider that we will get rid of the coronavirus until the end of the year

After the state of emergency, the Romanians have become optimistic again and think that we will get rid of the coronavirus pandemics before the end of the year, according to a barometre of opinion commissioned by Hygienium and made by the consultancy company Frames which shows that 56% of the interviewees stated that they used disinfectant products several times a day and 32% one time a day.

According to the barometre commissioned by Hygienium and made by the consultancy company Frames between 29 June and 2 July on a sample of over 2,500 people, 92% of the interviewees one stated that they were affected in a great measure by the pandemics, especially by the restrictions imposed by the authorities. Only6% were not affected and 2% did not answer.

Asked how they protected themselves during this period, most indicated the use of sanitary masks, which, 47% consider the most efficient measure against the Covid-19 coronavirus.

‘Besides the alarming information presented in the public space, the Romanians are, in general, optimistic as regards the evolution of the pandemics. Proof that most (67%) seem to be very convinced that we will get rid of the coronavirus until the end of 2020, while only 22% of the interviewees think the pandemics will last more time.61% of the interviewees of the survey made by Frames, at the commission of Hygienium, consider that the end of the pandemics is made by a vaccine, 22% consider that immunization will pay an important role in this evolution, and 12% estimate that the technology and the safety measures and security will be decisive in this matter’ the study shows.

‘Even if the norms and the protocols of security made by the authorities generated many questions marks, evidence being the opinions as regards their clarity (44% consider them clear and precise while 42% consider the contrary)most of the interviewees used at least one method of protection during this period. Besides the protection mask, promoted at social level, the disinfectants (gels, sprays) had a significant role in the consumption habits, the products for disifection based on alcohol 70% approved by the ministry of health being first’ the survey says.

56% of the interviewees stated that they used disinfectant products several times a day and 32% only one time a day. 10% of the interviewees stated they used such products sometimes, not everyday, and only 2% did not use them ever.

48% used them when shopping or in other social activities zones and 28% at work and 21% at home.

Asked where they bought the products and the disinfectant  materials ( gels, wipes) stated they bought them from the supermarket/hypermarket/ big shops 21% on the internet, 17% from drugstores, and 9% from the corner shop.

The opinion survey was made between 29 June- 2 July 2020 online and on phone, on a sample of over 2,500 people, aged between 21 and 70 representative from the geographical point of view, at national level. The main attributes of the focus-group : active people, employees, managers, entrepreneurs, with middle school (43%) university studies (57%), active participants to the social life.
