Tax arrears advance 5.46pct in March 2022

 

Tax arrears in Romania's national aggregate budget increased by 5.46% in March 2022 on a monthly basis, from 166.32 million lei to 175.4 million lei, according to data published on the website of the Ministry of Finance (MF).

Arrears of more than 90 days increased by 23.8%, from 51.7 million lei to 64 million lei, while arrears of more than 120 days decreased by 1.46%, from 61.7 million lei in February to 60.8 million lei in March 2022. On the other hand, arrears in excess of 360 days decreased from 52.9 million lei to 50.7 million lei (-4 .16%).

According to the same data, arrears in the local administration budgets increased by 2.1%, from 149.17 million lei in February to 152.29 million lei in March.

Arrears longer than 90 days increased by 17%, to 57.1 million lei, those longer than 120 days decreased by 3.56%, to 54.3 million lei, and those longer than 360 days decreased by 7.26%, reaching 40.9 million lei.

In the chapter "state and autonomous budgets," arrears increased from 17.15 million lei in February to 23.11 million lei in March 2022 (-34.75%).

Arrears over 90 days increased by 138%, to 6.9 million lei, those over 120 days increased by 18.52%, to 6.4 million lei, and those longer than 360 days advanced 11.36%, to 9.8 million lei.
