The CCE-R chairman: Romania was recommended to the investors by all rating agencies, with a stable perspectives economy
Romania was recommended to the investors in 2016 by all rating agencies for having a stable perspective economy, supported the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland-Romania (CCE-R) Irina Bolomey at an event dedicated to the commercial relations between Romania and Switzerland, organised in Bucharest.
‘It is a step forward for Romania, this thing is due to several factors, among which the growth of GDP in one of the highest ways in Europe, the IMF estimates being as good for 2016, 4.2% respectively and 3.8% in 2017. Starting with 2012 and up to 2016 Romania is one of the few European countries which observed the requirement of the Maastricht agreement to keep its budgetary deficit under 3% of the GDP’ said Bolomey.
According to a press release of the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland- Romania,Irina Bolomey said at the same time, the fact that, although the Swiss state is not part of the European Union, they allocated important sums of money to the new members in a ‘ special fund for the extension of the European Union’.
‘Thus,varied projects could be developed in countries in Central and Eastern Europe, including Romania where these funds were allocated starting with 2014 through the Programme for Cooperation Switzerland-Romania.An aspect which cannot be ignored for the near future is the impact of external factors: oil price, globalisation of the economy, the evolution of the euro zone and the evolution of the commercial relations between the European Union and the US on the national economies of Romania and Switzerland’ mentioned Irina Bolomey.
The Chamber of Commerce Switzerland- Romania (CCE-R) is a non-profit organisation set up in December 2000, which has as a main objective the stimulation and facilitation of the economic relations between Switzerland and Romania.
CCE-R is the partner of the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland –Central Europe (SEC) member of SwissCham (Association of Swiss Foreign Trade Chambers) and partner of the Switzerland Global Entreprise Network (S-GE) all of them in Zurich,Switzerland. The forum reunites at present almost 70 members among which the most important Swiss investors in Romania (Holcim, Ameropa,Nestle, Franke, Ringier, Sika,Rieker).
Accession to CCE-R is open to any judicial persons interested in the economic relations between Switzerland and Romania and shares the same interests and objectives with CCE-R. The activity of the institution is supported by the Embassy of Switzerland to Bucharest.
