The Minister of Health refuses 720 million euros from PNRR for investments in 6 hospitals
The minister of Health, Alexandru Rafila, announced on Monday that six hospitals were removed from the list of investments supported by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) as a result of the reduction of the allocation for Component 12 "Health" by 26% (740 million euros ), but will receive financing from the European Investment Bank, starting from October.
Rafila mentioned, in a press conference, that his statement is aimed at "clarifying some aspects related to the financing of investments from the health sector in PNRR", because "in the last few days there have been a series of statements, controversies in the public space".
Minister Rafila also said that the reductions affected, in addition to the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Education.
Minister Alexandru Rafila emphasized on Sunday, in a post on his Facebook page, that no investment objective from those initially selected for financing through the PNRR was lost or put at risk by this decrease in funds, considering that there are financing with funds from the EIB.
