The ministry of finances: extension of the IMM Invest Romania programme and of the subprogramme Agro IMM Invest, starting with 1st July 2021

The European Commission approved the request of the ministry of finances to extend the IMM Invest Romania and the subprogramme Agro IMM Invest programmes starting with 1st July until 31st December 2021, and to increase the level of the state aid scheme from 800,000 euro to 1.8 million euro for each enterprise, announced on Friday the ministry of finances.

 

The European Commission approved the request of the ministry of finances, addressed on the basis of the Temporary Framework for state aide measures, to extend the IMM Invest Romania and Agro IMM Invest programmes starting with 1st July 2021 until 31st December 2021 and to increase the level of the state aide scheme from 800,000 euro to 1,800.000 euro for each enterprise’ the minister announced.

 

The ministry of finances decision was due to the beneficial impact of the programmes on the economy, as well as due to the IMM interest to access loans with state guarantees.

 

 ‘The approval of the European Commission to continue the IMM Invest Romania programme and the subprogramme Agro Invest comes as an acknowledgement of the adequacy and efficiency of the measures to support the Romanian entrepreneurship environment. The inflow of capital drawn through the IMM Invest programme in 2020 which surpassed 15 billion lei by offering over 25,500 loans with state guarantee goes on in 2021. Another good news is, that, due to the decision of the European Commission, we are able to increase the level of the state aide, to support access to financing to over 58,000 beneficiaries in the two years of the programme, in the limit of the annual guarantee level, worth 15 billion lei’ stated Alexandru Nazare, the minister of finances.

 

To the present moment, the ministry of finances, through FNGCIMM allocated to IMM sums of over 222 million lei, during 2020, and over 246 million lei during this year, representing commissions and interests.

 

 ‘These data show that the programmes developed are a success which place the Romanian economy in an up going development scheme’ stated Alexandru Nazare, the minister of finances.
