Ukraine favorable to “excellent idea”of head of Romanian diplomacy to organize meeting of EU foreign ministers in Kiev
Ukraine's foreign minister Dmitro Kuleba, supported on Tuesday the idea expressed by his Romanian counterpart Bogdan Aurescu to organize a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Kiev, as an expression of the solidarity of the European community block with Ukraine, at moments of high tension with Russia as a result of the deployment of thousands of Russian militaries at the Russian-Ukrainian border, according to EFE.
In a message posted in his Twitter account, Kuleba thanked Romania's foreign minister who spoke about this possibility at the Monday meeting of heads of European diplomacy.
“Thank you for this excellent idea. At the beginning of December (2021), I asked Ukraine partners to make high level visits in Ukraine in January-February. We are ready to welcome EU foreign ministers in Kiev for a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council,”Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
Bogdan Aurescu participated on January 24 in the meeting of foreign ministers of EU member states, held in Brussels, when the examination of organizing a meeting of the Kiev Foreign Affairs Council , as an expression of the EU solidarity with Ukraine, according to the Romanian Foreign Ministry press release.
