Lancia, Lexus and Jaguar lead in the top of new registrations of rare cars in Romania
Lancia, Lexus and Jaguar cars rank first in the top of rare cars recently registered in Romania in the first six months of the year, according to official data of DRPCIV, published on the Internet. Over January-June 2013, 16 Romanians chose to buy Lancia cars. Lexus came second with 15 new units registered in Romania, 8 of which in January. Jaguar cars came third with 14 units, followed closely by Bentley, Jeep and Subaru with 6 units each.
According to official statistics, five new Ferrari and Smart cars were registered in the first semester, and only four Maserati and Lada automobiles.DRPCIV mentions three cars for Infiniti and Alfa Romeo, two Quattro, ARO, Aston Martin and Cadillac, and one Lamborghini, Daewoo, GWM and Bufori models.
At the end of 2012 the national car park included 4,485,148 units, of which 31.6% were Dacia cars, followed by Volkswagen and Opel. Between 2008 and 2012 there was an increase of 27% of the Romanian car park, the annual average being 6%.More than half of the cars (55%) were more than 10 years old and there was a process of continuous ageing of the car park (from 10 to 12 years).
Bucharest is the city with the highest number of cars older than 10 years with 400,000 units.
