Real estate market: lower rents for Bucharest apartments
Landowners reduced rent for Bucharest apartments by 4% in August although 10% more apartment could be fount for rent in the market, according to the report made by AnunturiParticulari.ro.
There were 2,889 new offers for rentals in August, which represents a 10.6% increase compared to the same period of 2012. Most new offers came last month from owners of 2-room apartments – 1,219 offers. There were also 1,043 single room apartments and 513 3-room apartments and only 114 apartments with 4 rooms.
Average rents requested by landowners were lower in August compared to July for all apartment categories. For 2 rooms the rent requested in August 2013 was 308 euro, 4% less than in July 2013 or August 2012.
According to the report, tenants could pay 222 euro for a single room apartment in August, which means 1% less than in July and 2% less than in 2012.
The average rent for a 3-room apartment dropped by 1% in August compared to July and went up by 1% compared to August 2012.Rents for 4 rooms were 0.15% lower than in July and 12% higher than in August 2012.
