Statistics: PC increased to 47.2 per 100 households
Personal computer ownership in Romania increased to 47.2 per 100 households, from 43.8 in 2014, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) says in a report.
Internet connection was 43.4 per 100 households, up from 39.1 in 2014. At the same time, there were 165.2 mobile phones per 100 households in Romania and 24.8 landline phones per 100 households.
There were also 11.2 CD players per 100 households, down from 11.4 in 2014.Ownership of reel-to-reel tape machines and radio cassette players decreased from 14.3 per 100 households to 10.6.
According to data with the INS, ownership of radio receivers was 53.6 per 100 households, slightly up from 52.5 in 2014.
At the same time, one in 100 Romanian households owned a black and white TV set, most of them being with farmer households. Ownership of such TV sets increased from 1.2 in 100 households in 2014 to 1.4 in 2015. Most of these devices were owned by farm households, 2.6, up from 2.2 per 100 households in 2014. Almost two black and white TV sets were also owned by households of pensioners - 1.9 per 100 households.
