Trade: Study: over 90% of the online buyers in Romania acquire clothes at least one a month
Approximately 93% of the buyers online from Romania acquire clothes at least once a month according to the study made by the online Answear.ro shop which shows that the sums spent by the Romanians on fashion sites vary between 101 lei for a pair of trousers and 257 for a pair of shoes.
According to the analysis, the real fashionista get to order even six times in 30 days.
‘The online fashion sector records one of the most rapid growths in ecommerce of approximately 50% of every year. It is a category which hasn’t reached its maximum potential yet’ stated the country manager of Answear Romania Raluca Radu.
The research also shows that sport shoes or elegant ones are the articles preferred by 71% of the buyers, while 49% opt for dresses or bags and rucksacks.
On average, a dress ordered online gets to cost at most 215 lei and a bag at least 124 lei.
The main information source for the buyers in the online environment is the virtual space.
Thus, 68% of them use browsers to get information about the online shops which they visit and their offers, while 54% go on the recommendations received from friends and acquintances.
Over 51 – 51% of the buyers get informed by using social networks. Men prefer to get informed from TV shows with an average of 24% against 11% in the case of women.
The study was made by Answear.ro in partnership with the research company iSenseSolutions on a sample of 604 interviewees in the urban environment, the majority women aged between 25 and 40.
Most of them have higher education (59%) and an average monthly income of approximately 3,600 lei.
72% of the interviewees are married or they live together with their partner with one child on average.
