EvoMAG aims to sell almost 2 million euros in the photovoltaic system category this year
The online retailer evoMAG estimates, this year, sales of approximately 2 million euro in the category of photovoltaic systems, introduced on the site during the summer of last year. The most sold photovoltaic systems in Romania are of medium power, of about 5-6 KW.

The company shows that they exploit the idea of offering the services of installation of photovoltaic systems for the beginning, in partnership with the suppliers with experience in the domain.
‘The newest category in the portfolio evoMAG, photovoltaic systems, will be one of the most performing from now on. We have allocated important resources, from pre-launching, to understand the products and the needs of the clients, so that we can approach this category on a long term. At present, sales of photovoltaic systems and related products generate approximately 3% out of total sales, but the potential is very high. We estimate that the share will increase at approximately 5% towards the end of the year’ says Mihai Patrascu, CEO evoMag mentioning that the objective of
evoMAG is to offer the most wanted equipment by the companies which install them.
At present, the most sold photovoltaic systems sold in Romania are of medium power, of about 5-6 KW. As regards the individual products in the category, the most sold are invertors and batteries, followed by photovoltaic panels.
The photovoltaic systems and related products are part of a larger category of products – House, Decorations and DIY. Last year, the category generated almost 5% of the turnover of evoMAG, the company estimating for this year, a growth of 20% due to the higher demand for products which are connected to agricultural works and house living with focus on everything is necessary in a household.
Here, the preferences of the Romanians went to, mostly, generators of electricity, motor mowers, compressors and pumps, energy storage systems, garden grills, the top being complemented by heating systems for terraces, general tools and tools for professional welding and inverters.
At present, evoMAG lists over 5,000 products which come under the category House, Decorations and DIY, over 50% of them being introduced last year in the portfolio.
In 2023, evoMAG aims at completing the series with other thousands of products, especially in the domain of garden.
evoMAG registered in 2022 turnover of 36 million euro and estimates, for this year, a growth of 5-10% in a more difficult market context, with an increased competitive environment and multiple challenges at macroeconomic and political level.
The product portfolio reached, last year, 150,000 items, the target for 2023 being an increase of 20%.
evoMAG is one of the biggest companies in the industry of electronic commerce in Romania. The online shop sells tens of thousands of products in the domain of IT&C, home appliances, sport&fitness ( among which scooters and accessories for scooters) and for house and garden, and three years ago they started the first service for electrical scooters, thus becoming the first online shop in Romania to offer such a service.
evoMAG was set up by Mihai Patrascu who is still the general manager.
