Restart Energy finalised a system of photovoltaic panels worth over 340,000 euro for Cotnari

Restart Energy finalised the implementation of a system of photovoltaic panels, worth over 340,000 euro, for Cotnari S.A., informs the company for energy transition services.

The project means the installation of 883 panels, on a surface of 5,000 sqm, with power of 400 kWp. The investment is going to pay off in less than four years, the quoted source says.

The green energy produced covers approximately 25% of the domestic consumption of the company. Over the next 25 years, the solar panels will produce 12,647 MWh, meaning a reduction of the energy costs of over 2.5 million euro.

The system of photovoltaic panels means a reduction of the CO2 emissions of 159 tons per year and of the radioactive waste of 1.5 kg per year. The panels are situated on the premises of the Crama Cotnari, Iasi county.

'The photovoltaic systems are the natural answer of the instability which we see on the energy market. Similarly, I am happy that we manage to be sustainable and reduce our carbon footprint of the company, in the context where the planet needs responsible actions on the part of everybody' said Remus Deleanu, the chairman of the Cotnari S.A. Management.

'The photovoltaic systems are an efficient solution for the reduction of energy costs for a long period of time,  with minimum costs for maintenance. Restart Energy will concentrate on the sustainable production of active electricity of solar energy' said, in his turn, Armand Domuta, general manager Restart Energy.

In January 2021, Restart Energy signed a partnership with the American fund Interlink Capital Strategies of Washington DC for the financing of the development of 500 MW renewable projects in Romani until 2025, with a view to supplying 100% green energy locally produced to all end users.

In February 2021, Restart Energy successfully launched the first convertible green bonds listed to BVB with the code REO26.
