Romania’s wind power industry pushes for a clearly stated public choice in favour of the installation of additional wind power from the government
The new green certificates system “will either revive the wind power market by creating a stable framework or it will kill the market due to a lack of stability and thoroughness in its implementation” according to Nicolas Bruynooghe, Business Development Director, Electrawinds. “A clearly stated public choice in favour of the installation of additional wind power is needed from the Romanian government, both through public announcements as through the implementation of a stable support system.” Nicolas was speaking to Anna Govett, Conference Director at Green Power, ahead of the fourth Wind Power Romania & Eastern Markets conference taking place in Bucharest in January.
Taking place just one month after the Government Emergency Ordinance (GEO) 57/2013 is set to be debating in the Commission for Industries and Services, the conference will provide the ideal setting for the industry hear an update on Romania’s Green Certificates put their questions directly to our expert speaking panel. Keynote speakers from ANRE, the Competition Council and OPCOM will lead the discussions at the two-day event with opening presentations focused on demystifying the new legal framework of the GEO.
