The Council of Competition has authorised the taking over of Crucea Wind Farm and Steag Energie Romania by Hidroelectrica
The Competition Council has authorised the trading in which Societatea de Producere a Energiei Electrice in Hidrocentrale Hidroelectrica SA has taken over the companies Crucea Wind Farm SA and Steag Energie Romania SRL,according to a press release of the competition authority.
Hidroelectrica SA is one of the main producers and suppliers of energy in Romania, as well as supplier of system technologial services.
The main activity of Crucea Wind Farm SA is the production and trading of electricity in Romania through the Centrala Electrica Eoliana Crucea Nord (Wind Farm Crucea Nord)with installed power of 108 MW while Steag Energie Romania SRL offers technical engineering services and monitoring of services offered by various suppliers for Crucea Wind Farm SA.
Following the analysis, the Competition Council mentioned that the operation has no significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market or on a substential part of it and there is no doubt regarding its compatibility with a normal competition environment.
The decision will be published on the site of the national competition authority,after the elimination of information with confidential character.
