The largest photovoltaic park in Transylvania will be built in Bistrita, with funding from PNRR

The largest photovoltaic park in Transylvania with over 5,500 modules, will be built in Bistrita, with financing through the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PNRR) and the finalizing deadline of the investment is the summer of 2024, according to the press release of the producer of car batteries, Rombat, sent on Monday.

The photovoltaic park will be built by Rombat and Datacor, regional supplier of integrated solutions in the domains of solar energy, communications and infrastructure.

The current project in Bistrita consists of the construction of a 4.2 MW photovoltaic park, which will include 5,538 photovoltaic modules, 545 W, monocrystalline, bifacial placed on the ground, and 2,304 photovoltaic modules, 545 W, monocrystalline, monofacial placed on the roof of the hall.

‘With the help of 3.42 invertors of 100 kW and a transformation station, this installation will contribute to an annual reduction of CO2 emissions of approximately 1,082 tons equivalent per year’ the quoted source says.

In 2023, Rombat invested for the increase in energy efficiency and reduction of carbon footprint through the implementation of a smart system of monitorisation of resources, through the construction of a photovoltaic park of 1 MW in Copsa Mica.

At the same time, Datacor, one of the main integrators of electrical, telecom and security systems in Romania launched last year the new division called Datacor Green Energy, through which they offer a series of solar, photovoltaic solutions to help the companies in Romania to generate renewable energy for their own consumption. In this way, the company ensures the design, installation and complete maintenance of the photovoltaic systems, dealing with all details of the installation process of the new solutions, from planning, legal validation, technical documentation, permits, approvals, implementation and maintenance.

Rombat, set up in 1991, with headquarters in Bistrita is a producer of car batteries with rich history in innovation and quality.
