The state received over 18 million euro out of certificates for greenhouse gas emissions in June


The state got in June over 18.6.million euro as a result of the trading on the joint bidding platform of the EU of the certificates for greenhouse gas emissions for the stationary installations, according to a document published on the site of the ministry of public finances (MFP).

According to the quoted source, there were traded 3,76million certificates for stationary installations.

Last year, the state got almost 195 million euro, with the sums in the domain of aviation.

According to the data of the ministry of public finances the trading procedure for the certificates of greenhouse gas emissions in the EU (EU Emission  Trading scheme – EU ETS) was applied firstly for the period 1 January 2005 – 31 December 2007 and the second phase takes place between 2008 and 2012, corresponding to the first phase of commitment to the Kyoto Protocol.

Romania takes part in the scheme of the \EU for the trading of the greenhouse gas emissions since the accession to the EU ( 1 January 2007).

The third phase of the EU ETS has a duration of eight years,1 January 2013 – 31 December 2020.
