EFSE, 20-million euros loan granted to BT Leasing Transilvania

The European Fund for South-East Europe (EFSE) granted a 20-million-euro loan to BT Leasing Transilvania to support micro and small companies, reads a release of the BT Leasing.

A branch of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, BT Leasing provides financial solutions for local entrepreneurs, as an important partner of the European Fund for South-East Europe, for promoting economic prosperity through strengthening the local financial institutions' ability of offering competitive financing to SMEs. The loan is meant to contribute to the success of the businesses themselves and to encourage investments and support the economic development of the country.

This is the second loan from the European Fund for South-East Europe, after the first granted in 2007-2012. With the help of this new solution, we shall be able to support entrepreneurs in Romania, especially the micro-companies and SMEs, considering that the financial leasing is the most difficult form of financing investments for such companies," stated Ionut Morar, general manager at BT Leasing.

The European Fund for South-East Europe (EFSE) was initiated by KfW Development bank (KfW), with financial support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) and the European Commission.
