Farmec opens first brand store abroad in Thessaloniki

Farmec Cluj-Napoca Romanian cosmetics producer opens its first brand store abroad in Thessaloniki, Greece, the company informs.

'The Farmec products are appreciated among Greek consumers and Thessaloniki is the second largest city of Greece, an important university centre and former European Capital of Culture in 2007. These are valuable arguments determining us to believe that Thessaloniki is very suitable for hosting the first exclusive Farmec product store of Greece,' Mircea Turdean, Farmec General Manager, said.

The store in Thessaloniki is the first of this kind of Greece. In the coming period, according to G2D SPC Greek partner's strategy, Farmec will continue to open new partner brand stores in other important cities.

The Farmec products are also present on the Greek market in the SPAs of certain hotels, where they use them for beauty treatments provided to clients.

The products of Farmec company reach over 30 countries, the main markets being Japan, Hungary, Poland, the Republic of Moldova, Iraq, Kuwait, Greece and Canada. Over the past two years, the export strategy focused on strengthening the distribution in the neighbouring countries.

Farmec concluded 2013 with a 138 million lei turnover, by 14 per cent more compared with the 121 million lei reported in the previous year. The company representatives say this result is owed to the investments made over the past few years and to the products launched in 2013. Farmec is a one hundred per cent Romanian company.
