Promar Textil, one of the top companies on the textile production market, announces its entry on the professional laundry segment, through the launch of Kromatic Brasov, following a 4.5 million euro investment and an in-depth research of the domain’s innovation potential, apress release sent by the company informs. This is the first laundry in Europe to successfully apply radio frequency based technology in the management of HoReCa textiles. The laundry is operational starting October 2015.
Textile producer with over 25 years of experience in knitted textile production for companies such as Max Mara, Romanian company Promar Textil expands its area of expertise by launching the professional laundry Kromatic in Brasov. The company has now completed its offer with an entire service area addressing rental, maintenance and laundry of hotel textiles, uniforms and workwear for various industries from food to manufacturing, medical or hospitality, certified as provider respecting the strictest hygiene and quality standards.
„The decision to enter the laundry market was mainly determined by the innovation potential and our desire to put our expertise in textile production and maintenance to good use, bringing value to our customers. Following 4 years of R&D, we implemented a textile management system coveted by the world’s largest laundries with 100 years of expertise”, Aurelian Moraru, director of Kromatic, announced.
The project was launched after an investment of 4.5 million euro in collaboration with Innovation Norway, thus resulting one of the world’s most innovative professional laundries.
Its uniqueness in Europe and in Romania is given by the integration of the RFID technology in its logistics and its entire value chain, generating numerous benefits for both the client and the laundry. The RFID system consists of giving identity to HoReCa textiles through the use of radio frequency microchips, this leading to services of superior quality, easy and trustworthy inventory, textile tracking and tracing, prolonged textile life, elimination of theft, and much more.
“The benefits of the RFID technology are incontestable: normally, the textile inventory for a medium size hotel involves at least 4 employees to count the linen, the towels, the bathrobes, for an entire day, the final counting being uncertain due to fatigue and human errors. On the other hand, the textiles that are identified through microchips, are automatically counted, thus eliminating human errors and personnel costs and time. Moreover, we can even eliminate losses generated by theft”, Aurelian Moraru added.
The entire information related to the textiles is one click away is available to the client via the online platform developed by Kromatic, offering the possibility to access important reports such as Active inventory, Washes, Anti-theft detections, etc.
Kromatic offers for rental a wide range of textiles, from linen, towels, bath robes, to restaurant linen, uniforms, workwear and business shirts, having an own production capacity.
Besides the RFID system dedicated to HoReCa textiles, the company also developed a special Barcode system for uniforms, meant to permit the traceability of work uniforms through individual bar codes, managing the logistics without the need of a dedicated person from the client’s side for laundry delivery/collection, as traditionally done. The workwear division is well established, benefitting from an own production capacity which allows Kromatic to show flexibility in building the uniform collections for different clients and also, to be highly professional when addressing repairs.
Respecting the strictest hygiene and quality regulations for the food industry as well as for the medical sector, having its own lab for testing the quality of its washes and always looking for innovation and efficiency possibilities in the textile sector, Kromatic professional laundry collaborates with top 4-5 star hotels in Romania, such as Hilton, and with numerous companies in the medical field, the food and manufacturing industry among other.
