ONRC: the number of wound up companies has increased by almost 3.13% in the first two months of 2020
The number of wound up companies has increased by 3.13% in the first two months of 2020, as compared to the same period of the previous year, at 5,705 against 5,532 companies in January – February 2019, according to the data centralized by the National Office of the Commercial Register (ONRC).
Most winding up were registered in Bucharest, namely 1,021 companies (up by 10.5% against the first two months of 2019) and in Brasov county (305, +100.66%), Constan?a (298, -0,67%) and Timi? (279, -7,31%).
Speaking about the first two months of 2019, the biggest growth of the number of wound up companies were registered in Brasov county (plus 100.66%), Covasna (plus 67,86%) and Hunedoara (plus 50%),while most significant drops were found in Caras-Severin county (minus, 52.78%), Vaslui (minus 46,58%) and Dambovita (minus 44,34%).
The domain of activity with most wound up companies in January-February 2020 is retail, car and motocycle repairs where there were 1,584 winding up at national level. Against the same period of 2019, the winding up in this sector dropped by 6.49%.
Constructions and professional activities, scientific and technical ones are other two domains where a large number of wound up companies, 598 and 539 respectively.
