Over 49,200 natural and legal persons registered in first four months of 2024

The number of registrations of individuals and legal persons decreased in the first four months of 2024 by almost 5%, compared to the similar period of the previous year, totaling 49,210, of which 73.5%, respectively 36,172, are limited liability companies (SRL), and 11,042 (22.4%) are authorized natural persons (PFA), according to data centralized by the National Trade Registry Office (ONRC).

According to ONRC, most of the newly entered were in wholesale and retail trade; motor vehicle and motorcycle repair (9,597; minus 1.59%, compared to the first four months of 2023), transport and storage (6,039; plus 8.38%) and construction (4,921; minus 8.10%).

In April 2024, 11,524 indiduals and legal persons were registered, most in Bucharest (2,601) and in the counties of Ilfov (671), Cluj (566), Timis (545), Constanta (482), Brasov (442), Iasi and Bihor with 433 each.
