Vodafone Romania concludes accord with Telekom Romania for fixed Internet and TV services
Vodafone Romania announced on Tuesday that it concluded an accord with Telekom Romania for wholesale services through which Vodafone will be able to launch fixed Internet and TV services, by using the optic fibre network of Telekom Romania in urban areas.
The accord will allow Telekom to better exploit its fixed infrastructure.
The two companies announced they will continue to compete in the market independently, each of them following its own development plan, according to autonomous commercial and business strategies.
Incomes from services registered by Vodafone Romania, reported for 2017-2018 fiscal year, concluded on March 31, reached 723.6 million euros, on the rise by 2.5%, compared to the previous year.
The group of companies Telekom Romania recorded overall incomes of 226 million euros in the first quarter of the year, on the drop by 1.7% against March 2017, according to data of Deutsche Telekom, the majority shareholder of the group.
Vodafone, Orange, Telekom and Digi Mobil are the main players in the telecommunications market in Romania.
