ANT to participate at the Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show (February 4-7) in London

The National Authority for Tourism (ANT) will participate with a national stand at the Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show (February 4-7) in London.

"Destinations" is the largest tourism fair in the United Kingdom open exclusively to the public and attracts over 35,000 visitors every year. In 2016 more than 800 exhibitors - national tourism offices, hotels, tour operators, airlines, car rental companies representing more than 90 countries and territories will participate in the event, a press release issued by ANT informs.

"In 2016 there shouldn't be any tourist left in the United Kingdom or anywhere in the world, in fact, who hasn't heard of Transylvania, of Romania. And who is not planning to visit us at least once. And if they come to Transylvania we invite them to extend their stay because in Romania they have a lot to see and live in all its geographic areas," ANT representative to London Razvan Marc stated.

The Authority will participate with a standard 32 square meters stand furnished by the organizers and decorated by the Romanian Tourist Office in London that will host nine exhibitors from Romania.

"Given that Transylvania topped the ranking of regions to visit worldwide in 2016, the ANT will use the region promoted by Lonely Planet as an engine to bring to the attention of the UK public the other tourist areas in Romania," ANT representatives state in the press release.

In addition, the Tourist Office in London concluded a partnership with Sony Pictures for the launch straight after the closing of the fair of the DVD version of animated film Hotel Transylvania 2. The stand will also display a billboard illustrating the Bran Castle and the characters of the animated film. Visitors who take a picture in front of the billboard and post it on Twitter using the hashtag #visithotelt are eligible to win prizes offered by Sony Pictures and the ANT.

Visitors who pass by Romania's stand at the fair can enter raffles and win plane tickets to Romania courtesy of Romanian Blue Air airline and sample traditional Romanian products from organic agriculture.
