BNR's forex reserves drop by some 0.7 pct in October 2010
The foreign exchange reserves of Romania (foreign currencies and gold) were standing at 35.532 billion euros, down by 249 million euros (0.7 percent) compared to the level of 35.781 billion euros as of September 30, 2010, Romania's Central Bank (BNR) reports.BNR forex reserves were in the amount of 32.309 billion euros from 32.579 billion euros on September 30, 2010.
During the month, inflows of 241 million euros were reported, representing the changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements of the credit institutions, inflows into the European Commission's account, inflows in the Ministry of Finance (MFP) accounts, revenues from the management of foreign exchange reserves and others.
The outflows totalled 511 million euros, representing changes in the foreign exchange reserve requirements of the credit institutions, payments of interest and principal afferent to direct external public debt and publicly guaranteed and others.
The gold stock held steady at 103.7 tonnes, but its value amounted to 3.223 billion euros following the developments in the international price for gold.
During the month of November 2010, the payments due on public and publicly guaranteed external debt amount to 1.629 billion euros.
