BNR board to keep monetary policy rate at 1.75pct pa

At a meeting of July 3, 2017, the Board of the National Bank of Romania (BNR) decided to keep unchanged the monetary policy rate at 1.75 percent per annum and to maintain the existing levels of minimum reserve requirement ratios on both leu- and foreign currency-denominated liabilities of credit institution

The board also decided to pursue adequate liquidity management in the banking system, according to a press statement released by BNR on Monday.

The monetary policy rate has been kept at 1.75 percent per annum since May 2015.
