CCIB signed a protocol with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sfax, Tunisia

The Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB) on Thursday signed a protocol with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sfax, Tunisia to mutually promote business.

The protocol was signed during the Days of Tunisian Culture and Economy, an event organized by the Embassy of Tunisia in Romania on March 17 to 19.

"We have signed today [Thursday] a protocol with the Chamber of Sfax, with which we have had protocols since 1991. We have already identified some areas of interest: industry and services, including in academic field. We have signed this protocol to give a regulated framework to the future exchanges of missions, exhibitions, and, what is very important, with Tunisia we have started a new experiment - a permanent exhibition of two weeks with various countries' offers, here in Romania. Now we have the Tunisian Week Product that we have organized with Auchan. For other countries we will choose other shopping centers. This practice is a first and I think we will be successful," the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Sorin Dimitriu told Agerpres.

According to him, the CCIB's strategy for 2016 - 2020 provides for approaching mainly non-EU markets. He underscored that after Tunisia, Morocco will follow, then China and the Gulf Area this year. "Egypt categorically remains a partner for the future, but probably not this year," he said.
