Ciao Bucharest. Italian urban influences in Bucharest
On the occasion of the National Day of the Italian Republic, celebrated on 2 June, the Embassy of Italy to Bucharest and the National Museum of Art of Romania are organisers of the photo exhibition ‘ Ciao Bucarest. Italian urban influences in Bucuresti’.
Conceived and made by the Italian Embassy to Bucharest for the consolidation of the excellent relatins between the two countries, this cultural project is meant to put to value and to make the Italian creative spirit better known, reflected in the architecture and the landscapes of Bucharest, from the 18th century to the present. Everything is presented in an original gallery of images placed in an innovative manner which will reveal to the visitors public and private buildings, monuments, buildings, streets, markets, contemporary buildings:from the Mogosoaia Palace to the new terminal of the Henry Coanda airport, together with other Italian landmarks which belong to the urban history of the Romanian capital city.
A selection of the photographs will be included in a volume to offer a more ample picture of the Italian urban influences in Bucharest.
The exhibition with free entrance will be opened to the public at the National Museum of Art of Romania, Kretzulescu halls starting with 2 June – 15August 2016.
