HP, one of the IT world giant, criminally investigated by DNA
HP one of the world IT giants is criminally investigated by DNA together with Vasile Ciuchea and Irinel Popescu former heads of the CNAS. The company is accused that they illegally received 17 million euro in the contract for computerisation.
Vasile Ciurchea and Irinel Popescu, former chairmen of CNAS and several former and present managers of CNAS are criminally investigated by DNA for office abuse in a file where there is alleged that SC HP Romania SRL had taken 16.8 million euro illegally for the computerisation of the company.
At the same time, the company HP Romania Srl is investigated for complicity to abuse in office.
According to the prosecutors, between 2007 – 2009 between CNAS and HP Romania SRL were signed several additional acts to a computerisation contract of the institution through which were offered supplementary services of technical assistance and training onsite for the SIUI ( single integrated informatics system)and for the soft which ensures resources planning (ERP) at over-evaluated prices, 804 euro/man-day in case of two of the additional acts and 760 euro /man-day in case of another additional act among the ones under investigation.
The HP Romania SRL shareholders are:
HEWLETT - PACKARD CENTRAL EASTERN EUROPEAN HOLDING GMBH (headquarters in Austria, 1120 VIENA, WIENERBERGSTRASSE, Nr. 41), with 99.91% of the shares, and
HEWLETT PACKARD GOUDA B.V. (headquarters in the Netherlands 1187XR AMSTELVEEN, STARTBAAN 16), with 0.09% of the shares.
