CNSU approves decision of 30-day extension of state of alert as of November 14
The National Committee for Emergency Situations approved a new decision proposing the 30-day extension of the state of alert across Romania, as of November 14, the head of the Department for Emergency Situations, Dr. Raed Arafat, announced on Thursday in the Government meeting.
"Basically, we maintain the previous set of measures, including the set of measures with local applicability according to the spreading incidence and also the national set of measures," Prime Minister Ludovic Orban added at the meeting.
The head of the DSU said that maintaining the recently adopted restrictions for 30 days is necessary to see a "real impact" on their enforcement.
Raed Arafat also specified that the regulations regarding the voting day for the parliamentary elections are included in the draft decision that the Government will adopt, which refers to the extension of the state of alert. "They are in the Government decision," said the head of DSU.
