Codirlasu (CFA Romania): Romania has third lowest employment rate for women in EU
Romania seems to be a patriarchal society, having the third lowest employment rate among women in EU, while 4 out of 10 women in Romania are faced with poverty, said Adrian Codirlasu, the president of CFA Romania on Thursday, at the second edition of the Forum “Women in Investment Management CEE”.
“Romania still seems to be a patriarchal society. Let me give some examples. Romania has the third lowest employment rate among women in EU. Four out of ten women in Romania face the risk of poverty and if we consider politics, less than 20% of Romania's Parliament is made of women. IN CFA Romania we have 40% of women as members, which could rank us second among CFA associations in the world,” Codirlasu said.
CFA Romania is the association of professionals in investments in Romania, most of them owners of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) title, a qualification administered by CFA Institute (USA).
