Colliers: the number of visitors in the big commercial centres could come back at normal in December
The big commercial centres prepared for reopening starting with 15th June and the investments in equipment, materials and personnel necessary for the implementation of the safety measures surpassed half of million of euro, appreciate the consultants Colliers International. According to the real estate consultancy company, the number of visitors could come back to normal in December.
According to the quoted source, the closing down of the commercial centres made the lodgers in retail to revise their expectations regarding the turnover estimated for this year, 45% expecting a drop of over 30% and 39% to a drop of up to 30% according to a study made in March by the retail division of Colleirs Internationl among 84 lodgers and 21 owners in the retail sector of Romania.
‘The lodgers consider that the summer months would mean the starting of the recovery from the losses accumulated when the shops were closed, even in the context of the number of visitors estimated at half against a common period. The traffic is expected to grow during the next period and it would go to normality in December.

În her opinion, almost 70% of the owners of retail spaces and approximately half of the lodgers expect to come back to a satisfying level of the business, according to the levels of before the epidemics of Covid-19 during the next year.
