Council President Donald Tusk arrives today in a visit to Bucharest

President Klaus Iohannis today will welcome at the Cotroceni Palace European Council President Donald Tusk. 

According to a Presidential Administration press statement, Iohannis will welcome Tusk at 16,15 GMT. Official talks are scheduled to start at 16,20 GMT. At 17,00 GMT, the two officials will hold a joint press statement. 

Also today , Iohannis will participate in a launching event of a national debate on education and research in Romania for 2016-2017. 

Iohannis will participate on February 18 and 19 in a European Council meeting and in a European People's Party (EPP) summit. 

According to official sources, an agreement regarding the Brexit might be signed at the European Council meeting. 

"The UK's exit from the EU would be a great risk for the [European] Union breaking up. Romania's interest is in the EU to go on," says the statement. 

About the solutions regarding the UK restricting access to social benefits these should not discriminate against the citizens of other EU member states in relation with the British citizens and should not apply retroactively.
