EC First Vicepresident Frans Timmermans to visit Romania next week
Frans Timmermans, First Vicepresident of the European Commission will be on an official visit in Romania over February 28- March 1.
“Frans Timmermans, Vice-President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for Better Regulation, Interinstitutional Relations, the Rule of Law and the Charter of Fundamental Rights will be on an official visit in Romania over February 28 - March 1, 2018,” the EC website shows.
The institution will publish the programme of meetings the European official will have in Bucharest.
Tudorel Toader, the minister of justice, had a meeting with Mr Timmermans at the European Parliament on February 7. The topics discussed were the laws of justice, the amendment of penal codes and Constitutional Court decisions on ANI law.
“About the laws of justice the minister presented the present situation and the stages of the three draft laws, the laws adopted and legislative solutions considered unconstitutional,” the Ministry of Justice shows in a press release.
