Ejobs: IT specialists with experience in e-commerce and digital, retail, automation and medicine will be most in demand employees

IT specialists will be the most in demand candidates for employment next year, as well as those with experience in e-commerce, digital, retail, automation and medicine, according to a study made by eJobs recruiting platform.

On the other hand, those who have experience in journalism, in the juridical field, in the textile industry or real estate will have to wait more than usual to find a new job, or will have to apply for professional reconversion, the study shows.

“In May alone about 40,000 new jobs were posted on our site, for all domains. So, hiring starts again, but compare to last year, not all categories of candidates are in demand, only certain profiles. At least for some time,”said Bogdan Badea, CEO eJobs Romania.

Not long ago, employers had difficulties in occupying available jobs, now the number of applications exceeds the job offers.

In the second half of 2020, human resource specialists expect an employment revival, in many cases at a level similar to last year, the study shows. Recruiters are now more exigent because they have at their disposal a considerably higher number of candidates to choose from. The job application rate has already grown eJob specialists say.

As for the way in which we work, work from home held pride of place, most employees doing it for the first time.

“Recruiters say we should get familiar with this concept, which will continue to be implemented on a long run and in some cases will even replace office work. 80% of respondents say the number of companies offering employees the possibility to work from home  will grow, while 38% think another important change in the labor market will be connected to the companies' growing interest in using freelancers or specialists for project based work,” the eJobs study conclusions show.

The study was made between March-May 2020, on a sample of 330 respondents made of representatives of companies in Romania. At present, over 17,000 jobs for Romania and abroad are available on eJobs.ro, the press release mentions.
