ejobs: Trebling of remote type jobs in March
The number of remote jobs available in Romania trebled in March, compared to the same period of 2019, according to a study made by an online recruiting platform.
“At EU level, Romania is still the country with the lowest percentage of remote work. Things seem to start changing, even though this change was determined by the new dynamics in the labour market. Since work and employment are mostly remote, as protection method and as measure to reduce as much as possible risks to contract or spread the virus. But, where we can prove people can work that way without negative impact in business, we will probably see on a long run that more remote jobs will appear in the market and more employees working from home. In fact this is an older wish of Romanian employees. In a study made by eJobs last year, 8 out of 10 respondents said they would like to be able to work from home, even if occasionally. However, only 35% had that option,” said Bogdan Badea, CEO eJobs Romania said.
According to data centralized by representatives of the recruiting platform, about 350 remote jobs are available now on eJobs.ro website, three times more than in the same period of 2019.
Most of these positions have in view specialists in content marketing, customer support, financial consulting, accounting, digital marketing or European funds consulting.
In point of candidates, searches for remote jobs have grown by 400%since the beginning of March, followed by part time jobs, which recorded an increase of 151% compared to the same period of last year.
At the same time, jobs of medical assistant and human resource specialist were in demand among candidates, each with a evolution of 80%, against the same period of 2019.
Launched in 1999, eJobs is the first recruiting platform launched in Romania and belongs to Ringier Romania company.
