EU remains Romania s main commercial partner

Romania s commercial exchanges are 76% based on relations with EU, according to data of the National Statistic Institute (INS).

The value of intra EU exchanges of goods (Intra-EU28), in quarter 1, 2017 was 11761.4 million euros for expeditions and 13,57.1 euros for introductions, representing 76.1% of overall exports and 76% of total imports, INS shows.

The value of extra EU exchange of goods (Extra-EU28) in quarter 1, 2017 was of 3699.1 million euros for exports and 4279.9 million euros for imports, representing 23.9% of overall exports and 24% of total imports.

In quarter 1, 2017, important shares in the structure of exports and imports are held by groups of products - transport machines and equipment (47.8% for export and 36.9% for import) and other manufactured products (33.8% for export and 30.5% for import).
