European funds absorption in 2020
Starting with November 2019 and until the beginning of December 2020, Romania absorbed as a whole European funds worth four billion euro, out of which a sum of 1,1 billion euro was drawn in November and December 2019.
‘We took over 7,230 financing contracts worth 26.2 billion euro, and today there are 9,145 financing contracts, worth 36,4 billion euro. It is important to remember that this year we signed 2,185 financing contracts worth ten billion euro’ said at the beginning of November the former minister of European funds Marcel Bolos.
In the context of pandemics of Covid-19, over one billion euro of European Funds was allocated to combating the new corona virus.
At present, in all financing programmes from European funds the sums drawn surpassed the planned sums, according to the figures presented by MFE. Thus, in the Operational Programmed Human Capital, there were planned 504.5 million euro and were drawn 772 million euro, namely 148% of the planned sum. The Operational Programmed Aid for Disadvantaged People had planned the sum of 64 million euro and there were used 78.5 million euro (122.6%) and the Operational Programmed Big Infrastructure had 778 million euro planned and there were 1,035 million euro used ( 133%).
The Regional Operational Programme had plans for 759.27 million euro and there were used 760 million euro (100%) and for Competitiveness there were planned 86 million euro and there were used 91.2 million euro ( 105%).
The Operational Programmed Administrative Capacity had plans for 59.89 million euro and there were used 60 million euro (100%), the operational programmed Technical Assistance had plans for 49.54 million euro and there were used 50.1 milllion euro (100%) and the programmed Romania –Bulgaria had plans for 18.5 million euro and there were used 34 million euro (183%).
Similarly, the programmed Romania –Serbia had plans for 15 million euro and there were used 14.67 million euro (100%) and the programmed Romanian-Hungary had plans for 29.8 million euro and there were used 30 million euro (100%).
