Fin Min Teodorovici: The Prime Minister’s reserve fund is now empty

Minister of Public Finances, Eugen Teodorovici, said on Wednesday that the Prime Minister’s reserve fund is currently empty, due to the difficult situations this year, romaniajournal.ro reports

“The Prime Minister’s reserve fund is now empty, because we had to fund the situations that have arisen: floods, natural calamities, swine fever. The money was needed for such situations,” Teodorovici said for Antena 3 TV private broadcaster.

The Prime Minister’s reserve fund for this year was set at over EUR 100 million.

“The Government Decisions are published by the Official Gazette, by which the Government has allocated the respective amounts either for natural calamities or for swine fever and for other such situations. The sums exceeded RON 600 million only on natural disasters (…) events that were not anticipated last year, when the budget was made for 2018,” Teodorovici said.
