Gold reached a new historic maximum on Monday – 260.8073 lei/gram

The gold gram got more expensive on Monday by 1.68 lei/(0.64%) up to a quotation of 260.8073 lei, from 259.1273 lei as announced on Friday the National Bank of Romania (BNR) registering a new record value.

For the European currency BNR presented on Monday a  rate of 4,8351 lei for the euro, higher by 0.35 bani against the quotation of 4.8316 lei/euro, established in the previous meeting.

The leu got cheaper by comparison to the American dollar, the announced rate being 4,1131 lei, up by 3,51 bani (0.86%) as compared to the value on Friday, namely 4,0780 lei for the American currency.

On the other hand, leu got ground against the Swiss Franc, getting to a rate of 4.4859 lei by 0.17 bani under the value of the previous meeting (-0.03%) of 4.4876 for a Franc.
