Health Ministry is about to solve the problem of the MMR measles
The Health Ministry is about to solve the problem of the MMR measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine, Health Minister Florian Bodog said Tuesday, explaining that he identified a stock of 300,000 doses which will meet Romania's demand throughout the year .
"The Health Ministry is about to solve the MMR vaccine issue. We have identified together with the producing company a stock of 300,000 doses which will meet the demand throughout the year. We are going to initiate the procurement process and besides the about 110,000 doses coming in these weeks the other 300,000 doses will also come, to meet Romania's demand for the rest of the year, so that we can make up for all the measles immunizations that have not been done and also be able to have children vaccinated in time," Bodog told a debate at the Fundeni Clinical Institute.
Bodog said that the Health Ministry will also initiate a framework agreement that will cover four years to ensure vaccine continuity.
