International art exhibition dedicated to Balkan region - on April 22 at Romanian Peasant Museum
An international exhibition of paintings, icons, photography, tapestry and jewelry dedicated to the Balkan region will be inaugurated on April 22, at 3.00 pm, at the Aquarium Hall of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant.
According to a press release of this cultural institution, Adina Moldova Titrea, curator of the exhibition, and art critic Marius Tita, will speak at the opening.
Called "Balkan Interfaces," the exhibition brings together 42 artists from Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, with the organisers aiming at creating a "cultural bridge," and also a new "state of normality during this difficult time," which influenced not only our lives, but also our artistic activity.
"Alongside the Romanian artists there will also be exhibiting artists from the neighbouring countries, as we are trying to promote, in the new cultural context, a very large area of specific features, mentalities, customs, cultural and civilisational affiliations, which integrate the Balkan culture," reads a press release of the abovementioned institution.
