Iran Ambassador: Romania can be a bridge between West and Middle East

Romania is a western country, but from the historical and cultural points of view it has had ties with the East and can well act as a bridge, the Iran ambassador to Bucharest, Bahador Aminian Jazi declared on Monday in a press briefing.

Romania has always been a bridge between two civilizations because Romania is a western country but from the historical and cultural points of view it has had ties with the East and understands the Middle East very well. We think Romania can play the role of a bridge and mediator very well, said the Iranian ambassador.

He made these statements in the context in which the Iranian Embassy to Bucharest will organize on 23-24 October the conference “EU and the Middle East – Iranian points of view.”
