Leu appreciated against euro on Tuesday but lost ground to US dollar

The national currency appreciated on Tuesday against the euro, which was calculated at 4.9767 lei by the National Bank of Romania, on the drop by 0.01 bani against the previous quotation of 4.9768 lei.

Against the dollar the leu went down, the US dollar being quoted at 4.5780 lei, on the rise by 0.75 bani (+0.16%), compared to Monday, when it was 4.5705 lei.

The national currency depreciated against the Swiss franc, calculated by BNR at 5.2672 lei, on the rise by 0.41 bani (0.07%), against 5.2631 lei, the previous quotation.

A gram of gold went up to 298.0198 lei, from 297.4521 lei in the previous session.
